As the founder of AngloNet, I want to share the journey that led to the creation of The Anglo Magazine. It all began with my deep-rooted desire to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of the Anglo-Indian community. I recognized that our stories, traditions, and unique experiences deserved a dedicated platform—one where we could come together to connect, share, and support one another.
In September 2024, I launched the inaugural issue of The Anglo Magazine as a test run. The response was truly overwhelming. I was delighted to see how much our community embraced the publication, sharing their own stories and insights. It became clear that there is a genuine need for a space where our heritage can be celebrated and documented. The first issue not only allowed me to gauge interest but also set the foundation for what I hope to achieve in the future.
Encouraged by the positive feedback, I am excited to announce the launch of our second issue! This edition builds upon the success of the first, allowing me to delve deeper into themes of community support and heritage preservation. It is essential for me to not only honor our past but also actively safeguard our cultural identity for future generations.
In this second issue, you can look forward to:
- Inspiring Stories: I will feature narratives that highlight the resilience and contributions of individuals within our community. Your stories are the heart of this magazine, and I encourage you to share them with me!
- Heritage Preservation: I will explore the importance of maintaining our customs, languages, and traditions, ensuring that our rich legacy is passed down to future generations.
- Community Engagement: I want to foster a sense of belonging and collaboration. Your participation—whether through articles, recipes, or cultural insights—is invaluable as I strengthen our community ties.
Thank you for your support and enthusiasm. Together, I hope we can continue to celebrate our heritage and uplift one another as we navigate this journey. I look forward to hearing your stories and seeing how we can collectively honor our Anglo-Indian legacy.
Warm regards,
Craig Gomes
